[ **up: [[Hangzhou (China)]]** ] --- # Bagua Field Historic Site Park 八卦田遺址公園 (Hangzhou) ## Tourist destination > Bagua Field Historic Site Park is at the southern foothill of Yuhuang Mountain. It was originally cultivated by the emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty as a means of advising and persuading farmers. In the Ming Dynasty, it had already been formed into a Bagua field. From on high, overlooking the field and mound below, it forms an octagonal shape with a circular mound in the middle. The area around the mound is divided into eight sections of equal size. The complete field mound is shaped like a yin-yang Taiji diagram. Additionally, due to the cultivation of different plants in the eight fields, the colors and shapes are constantly changing all year round, as if there are eight kinds of images.[^1] ### Location > Xihu, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, 310000.[^2] [^1]: ‘Bagua Field Historic Site Park’, *Trip.com*, retrieved 17 March 2025, https://au.trip.com/travel-guide/attraction/hangzhou/bagua-field-historic-site-park-10519744/.
