[ **up: [[! RPAH Diet-friendly recipes|RPAH Diet-Friendly Recipes]]** ] --- # Chicken lasagne - serves 4-7 people - cobbled together from a San Remo’s lasagne box and RPAH’s *[[Friendly Food]]* cookbook. --- ## Ingredients - 375g pantry-stable lasagne sheets (e.g. a box of *San Remo Lasagna Sheets*) - 500g minced chicken (or other allowed meat) - 1 batch [[Red Sauce]] - 1 batch [[White Sauce]] - 1 egg, room temperature (optional) - *See [[#Extra Notes]] for alternative/additional ingredients.* --- ## Method 1. Pre-heat oven to 190°C. 2. Prepare [[Red Sauce]] and [[White Sauce]]. 3. Lightly grease a baking dish. 4. To construct lasagne, layer red sauce, white sauce and lasagne sheets in the baking dish (take care to ensure lasagne sheets are entirely covered). 5. Repeat layers, finishing with white sauce. For that very last batch of white sauce (the final layer), feel free to first beat an egg into the white sauce prior to putting it on the lasagne. It will make the lasagne even tastier. 6. Cover loosely with foil, bake 20 minutes. Remove foil, bake a further 5-10 minutes until browned. --- ## Tips - If you’re able to eat cheese, feel free to add add ½ cup grated mozzarella to the surface of the ready-to-bake lasagne, prior to putting it in the oven.
