## amber
Note: amber isn’t really a rock or mineral. It’s fossilized tree resin.
Amber has been appreciated for its colour and natural beauty since the Neolithic times, and has been worked as a gemstone since antiquity.
Amber is used in jewellery and as a healing agent in folk medicine.[^1]
